After Reigns made short work of number two entrant Rusev, the 38 year old hit the ring and the Amway Center exploded with a deafening roar. It was a spine tingling pop and AJ immediately teased his Styles Clash finisher, before hitting a trademark Pel kick. NXT graduate Tyler Breeze dished out some flying kicks but was eliminated by Reigns and Styles working in tandem. The duo then dispatched the Social Outcasts and Curtis Axel, with Adam Rose taking a great bump from AJ. Chris Jericho arrived and traded blows with Styles, in a dream encounter. Kane then started wreaking havoc, earning loud boos when he dared tackle the new fan favourite. Goldust, Ryback and Kofi Kingston followed and AJ sold a huge back bodydrop from the Big Guy with aplomb. He was stealing the show and continued with a sweet springboard forearm smash on Y2J. Luke Harper emerged along with the League of Nations, who were directed by Mr McMahon to pull Reigns outside and tear him apart. Rusev ran across two announce tables and splashed Reigns through the third, seemingly crushing his hopes as the champion was led to the back. Big Show ejected Titus and removed Ryback with a Superman punch, and Newcastle's Neville shone in a brief cameo. Jericho meanwhile eliminated Kofi in a moment initially missed by the cameras. But it was time for the Wyatts to take control as the lumbering Braun Strowman hurled out Kane and Big Show. Kevin Owens limped to the ring, feeling the effects of his earlier bout. The fans went wild as he and AJ exchanged punches, before Styles tried to hit Neville with a Styles Clash. Yet Owens connected with a superkick and tossed him out, mocking his pose and shouting: "Welcome to WWE." It was clever booking to have a crowd favourite like Owens end AJ's involvement and temper the inevitable disappointment, while the prospect of a feud between these two is truly mouthwatering. A bandaged and battle scarred Ambrose was next to challenge Owens, before NXT standout Sami Zayn made a beeline for his former friend. (Photo: WWE) Dolph Ziggler impressed as he took it to Y2J and superkicked all and sundry, then Sheamus arrived just as Reigns made his return. The Samoan was greeted with audible boos, proving he still has his doubters. This didn't change when Triple H walked out and stared him down in the middle of the ring. The two men tried to outdo each other with finishing moves and the eliminations started coming thick and fast.
HHH said goodbye to Ziggler and squared up to Wyatt, who refused to follow orders and had to be ejected with the help of Sheamus.
